Abstract
AbstrakArtikel ini mendeskripsikan tentang kemampuan menulis ilmiah mahasiswa pendidikan seni di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Lampung. Kemampuan menulis ilmiah dengan baik adalah hal fundamental yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa sebagai bekal guna memperoleh gelar sarjana pendidikan melalui penyusunan tugas akhir skripsi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Tari dan program studi Pendidikan Musik angkatan 2020, dengan jumlah 100 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumen. Observasi partisipan dilakukan dengan mengamati dan terlibat secara langsung proses penulisan karya ilmiah pada kelas mata kuliah metodologi penelitian, sedangkan studi dokumen dilakukan dengan menganalisis draft proposal skripsi yang disusun sebagai tugas akhir mata kuliah metodologi penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dokumen dan observasi partisipan yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa prodi pendidikan seni yang terdiri dari prodi Pendidikan Musik dan Pendidikan Tari FKIP Unila berada dalam kategori baik sebesar 37%, kategori cukup sebesar 31%, dan kategori kurang sebesar 32%. Berdasarkan analisis dokumen draft proposal skripsi diperoleh temuan temuan bahwa kelemahan mahasiswa dalam penulisan ilmiah ditemukan pada beberapa aspek, yaitu: 1) penyusunan paragraf; 2) perumusan masalah penelitian; 3) penyusunan kajian teori/konsep dan kerangka pikir; dan 4) Penentuan metode penelitian, teknik pengumpulan data, dan instrumen penelitian. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut maka diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis ilmiah pada mahasiswa pendidikan seni di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Lampung. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Menulis, Menulis Ilmiah, Mahasiswa Pendidikan Seni AbstractThis article describes the scientific writing skills of arts education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. The ability to write scientifically well is a fundamental thing that must be owned by every student as a provision to obtain a bachelor of education degree through the preparation of thesis final project. The data sources in this study were students of the Dance Education study program and the Music Education study program class of 2020, with a total of 100 people. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques of participant observation and document study. Participant observation was carried out by observing and being directly involved in the process of writing scientific papers in research methodology class, while document studies were carried out by analyzing draft thesis proposals prepared as the final project for research methodology courses. Based on the results of document analysis and participant observation, it can be concluded that the ability of students of the Arts Education Study Program, which consists of the Music and Dance Education Study Program, is in the good category at 37%, the sufficient category is at 31%, and the less category is at 32%. Based on the analysis of the thesis proposal draft documents, it was found that students' weaknesses in scientific writing were found in several aspects, namely: 1) paragraph preparation; 2) formulation of research problems; 3) preparation of theoretical studies/concepts and frameworks; and 4) Determination of research methods, data collection techniques, and research instruments. Based on these findings, efforts are needed to improve scientific writing skills in art education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung.
