Abstract
The objective of this research was to think the effect concentrations of vinegar (acetic acid) on growth of weed at land preparation. The experiments conducted in Politeknik Lampung, Lampung from July to September 2011. The research design was used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, i.e : concentration of vinegar with four levels: 0, 5%, 10%, and 20% with four replications. The results showed that : (1) vinegar concentration of 10% - 20% are able to control weed growth to 4 MSA, seen from the suppression of the dry weight and percentage of total weeds. (2) Vinegar concentration of 10% - 20% are able to control the growth of broad leaf weeds Asystasia gangética, while the other broad leaf weeds are nuts (LCC) and Mikania micrantha able to be controlled by the concentration of 20% up to 4 MSA. (3) Type of grass weed i.e Digitaria longiflora is not able to be controlled of vinegar to 8 weeks after the aplication. Key word : Vinegar (Acetic acid), concentration, weeds
