Abstract

Development of Ferrocement Technology and Practical Experiences in Universitas Lampung: A Review Masdar Helmi, Laksmi Irianti, Meizano Ardhi Muhammad, and Fikru Shidqi Helmi Abstract This paper discusses general ideas on the ferrocement technology devel- opment and various academic activities conducted by lecturers at the Univer- sitas Lampung. The development of ferrocement technology requires collabora- tion among multiple stakeholders, including the academic community, construction policy makers, practitioners, and users. Strategic steps that can be taken by these parties include: continuous knowledge development through education and research; dissemination of research findings and construction applications via publications and forums; socialization of the advantages of ferrocement technology to construction policy makers and practitioners; and provision of brief information on ferrocement construction for construction users. These approaches are essential for driving the advancement of ferrocement technology, ultimately enhancing its contribution to innovation and competitiveness within the construction sector.
