Abstract

Jatimulyo Village is the village with the smallest agricultural land area compared to other villages. Due to the limited land, farmers choose specific cropping patterns to apply to their farming activities. This study aims to analyze the profitability of the rice–rice–vegetable, rice–vegetable, and rice–vegetable–corn cropping patterns, and to determine which pattern yields the most optimal profit on small-scale farming land in Jatimulyo Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. Samples were purposively taken from 15 farmers practicing each cropping pattern. The types of data used in this research include primary data collected from farmers through interviews and secondary data obtained from journals, articles, and the Central Bureau of Statistics. The data analysis methods employed are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, as well as linear programming analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2010 with the Excel Solver add-in. The analysis results show that the actual profits of small-scale farming with cropping patterns A, B, and C are respectively Rp8,023,800.71; Rp6,831,323.04; and Rp9,967,810.61. The most optimal profit was obtained from the rice–vegetable–corn cropping pattern, with a final value of 2.982 and an optimal profit of Rp29,724,011.2, considering constraints such as land area and labor availability.
