Abstract

Ficus (Ficus spp.) is a plant member of the Moraceae family which has many benefits in economic and ecological. In the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park Collection Block (Tahura) there is no definite data regarding the population condition of Ficus spp. inside it. Therefore, this research is needed to knowing the types of Ficus, population density, area and distribution patterns. The method used in the research is the path method with a sampling intensity of 2%. The number of observation routes is 3, designed systematically with a distance between routes of 500 m. The size of each observation line is 20 m x 500 m. Data were analyzed using the formulas for density (K), area of distribution (F) and coefficient of distribution (CD). The research results show that there are 6 types of Ficus, namely Ficus ampelas, Ficus septica, Ficus benjamina, Ficus variegata, Ficus hispida, and Ficus annulata. Total density of Ficus spp. is 63 individuals/ha. The distribution area of F. ampelas was found at the research location more frequently than other types with a total distribution area of 0.059, in the seedling phase (0.012), and the sapling phase (0.047) with a clustered distribution pattern with a CD value between 1.354 and 6.094. It can be concluded that the population conditions and distribution patterns of Ficus spp. quite rare and clustered.
