Abstract
Analog rice made from mixture of porang glucomannan flour (Amorphopallus oncophyllus) and waxy cassava. Analog rice has a slightly brownish white color and has a shape like grains of rice and contains fiber which can help the digestive process in the body. The purpose of study was to determine the effect of giving analog rice from a mixture of porang glucomannan flour and waxy cassava on the blood profile of alloxan-induced mice. The study was arranged in a factorial manner in a completely randomized design (CRD) with healthy mice given the standard AIN 93M ration, diabetic mice given the standrd AIN 93M, diabetic mice given the porang rice ration, and diabetic mice given the IR-64 rice ration and carried out 6 test. Observations were made on the blood profile of alloxan-induced mice. The data obtained was tested for uniformity by using the bartlett test and the addition of data was tasted by the tuckey test. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using varience and determine the effect of the treatment, then the data were analyzed using the BNT test at the 5% level. The results showed that the administration of rice analogue from a mixture of porang glucomannan flour and waxy cassava to mice induced by alloxan had a erythrocytes (7,48 million/mm 3 ), leukocytes (5,55 thousand/mm 3 ), hemoglobin (15,14 g/dL), hematocrit (32,28%).
