Abstract
Pekon Bumiratu, Pagelaran District, Pringsewu Regency has always had an art that has long been used as a medium for preaching the guardians, namely Janengan art. Although this art originates from the Kebumen area of Central Java, the unique thing is that this art still survives in Lampung. The purpose of this study was to determine the religious values in Janengan art in Pekon Bumiratu, Pringsewu District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. The methodology in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used are literature study, interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate: This art can be enjoyed not only seen as a means of entertainment because of its aesthetic value, but in Janengan art there are religious values that can shape the behavior and morals of the next generation to be better. Religious values can also be seen from the existence of animist beliefs and dynamism in ancient times related to the making of offerings dedicated to ancestral spirits. Religious values are generally seen in this art, namely the value of friendship, moral values, values of faith and piety
