Abstract

Cement is a construction raw material with a composition of limestone, silica sand, iron sand, and clay. The cement industry causes adverse environmental impacts in the form of pollutant gases, dust, and other hazardous substances. One of the efforts to reduce these negative impacts is to build green open spaces. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of constituent tree species around the cement factory area of PT Semen Baturaja, Bandar Lampung. Data collection using the direct observation method in the field Data was collected between September and December 2022. The data collected includes information on species name, breast diameter, tree height, and crown area. Community data was collected using the census method in the zone 0-500 meters from the factory area boundary, with a distance of 100 meters for each gradient. The data were analyzed using quantitative description methods. The results showed that there were 57 tree species with a total of 745 individuals, with the dominant species in each gradient, namely, the gradient 1 Polyalthia longifolia (58.56%), the gradient 2 Mangifera indica (61.0%), the gradient 3 Mangifera indica (59.54%), the gradient 4 Mangifera indica (52.44%) and Swietenia mahagoni (44,59%), and the gradient 5 Polyalthia longifolia (45.60%) and Mangifera indica (44,68%)
