Abstract
The people of Srimenganten Village, Pulau Panggung District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, are an agricultural village and one of their plantation products is vanilla, but the farmers are still constrained by a disease that attacks vanilla plants known as vanilla stem rot (BBV), therefore , this service activity wants to help solve this problem with various work programs for vanilla farmers in Srimenganten Village, including through socialization and counseling on BBV disease and how to control it. Vanilla is one of the plantation commodities with quite high economic value and already has a pretty good name in international market. The use of superior varieties of vanilla that are resistant to BBV disease with high yields is expected to be an important disease control alternative. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge on overcoming BBV for vanilla farmers in Srimenganten Village, Pulau Panggung District, Tanggamus, Lampung. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that there was an increase in the knowledge of the community service participants about how to deal with the BBV disease of the vanilla plant, seen from the average increase in the knowledge of the training participants by 35.33 points and the percentage increase in knowledge of 65.33%.
