Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out effective concentration of salicylic acid in planlet P. amabilis that is tolerant to Fusarium Wilt disease and to know the stomata index on the planlet P. amabilis that is tolerant to F. oxysporum resulting from salicylic acid induction and determine the criteria for the resistance of planlet P. amabilis to Fo the result of induction salicylic acid. This study used a Complete Random Design with one factor, namely the addition of salicylic acid concentrations divided into 5 levels, namely 0 ppm, 85 ppm, 95 ppm, 105 ppm, and 115 ppm. Data analysis using the Levene Test at a level of 5% and continued with the Anova One Way Test at the level of 5%, if the data shows a real difference then followed by the Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ) at the level of 5%. The results showed that salicylic acid concentrations of 115 ppm were more effective at suppressing fungal development than concentrations of 85 ppm, 95 ppm and 105 ppm and were able to suppress disease intensity by 25% and increase resistance criteria from moderate to resistant. The character of the specific expression on the planlet P. amabilis affected by salicylic acid is that the increasing concentration of salicylic acid, the more the value of the stomata index of P. amabilis leaves. Key-words : Phalaenopsis amabilis, salicylic acid, Fusarium oxysporum, in vitro, resistance
