Abstract

Analysis of the Functions Kacar-Kucur Equipments in Wedding Ceremony of Java Tradition in Yosomulyo. The purpose of this study is to find out the function of the equipment in the kacar-kucur in Wedding Ceremony of Jawa Tradiition in Yosomulyo. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative analysis technique. The result of study shows the functions of kacar-kucur equipments are (1) delivering pray to the God (dlingo, flowers, beans, petanen, sindur cloth and coins, (2) the signs in the marrriage (flowers, rice, yellow rice, cron, soybeans, klemuk and traditional clothes), (3) spiritual function, the belief that an object used in a traditional ceremony has meaning in life. The conclusion of this study is the function of kacar-kucur equipmenst are divided into vertical(human with God) and horizontal (human with related to values).
