Abstract
Dung beetle is a type of beetle that makes the feces as food and or use it as a place for the laying of eggs.The formation by dung can improve soil fertility and aeration, and increase the rate of nutrient cycles. Bury the dirt is one way of dung beetle in the provision of ecological elements such as increase soil fertility, spread the seed control the disease that causes the onset of parasites. The Beetle is a key type of ecosystem. The forest Dung can also serve as a degrading of organic matter in the form of wildlife, especially mammals, birds, and reptiles. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of favorite dung beetle against elephant feces, horse feces, and cow feces against the abundance of fecal beetle (dung beetle) at the Forest Park Wan Abdul Rachman. The research is done using the trap method. The research was done in October to December 2019 at the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park on the utilization block of Arboretum 1 to Arboretum 6.The results obtained in this research is the dung beetle more found in cow's feces with the number of 14 dung beetle, dung beetle is more interested in cow feces because cow feces has a sharp aroma because there are many microbes and nematode in it as well as a smoother texture than other feces. The dominating beetle is the type of Cattarsius molossus. Keywords— Dung beetle, Feces.
