Abstract

Abstract. Sungai Langka and Talang Mulya are villages located around Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman (Tahura WAR) whose livelihoods lies on agriculture and animal husbandry. Farmers' arable land is sloping land with agroforestry system used within combination of trees, plants and forage. Thus far, land managed without consideration of sloping that comprise potential for surface erosion, landslides, and decreased soil fertility. DEMNAS imagery analysis based on farmers' land boundaries can be used as an approach solution for precision land planning. Estimates can be made using the assumption of an Alley Cropping pattern with planting rows adjusted to the contours of the land using a variation of 1, 2, 3 and 4 meter height intervals. Estimates of forage potential and livestock carrying capacity were calculated for Gamal (Gliricidia sepium) and Mini Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum. Cv. Mott). A total of 50 units of farmers lands were used as samples to determine the condition of land area, grade and class of land slope, number and length of alleys, number of planting points, forage potential and livestock carrying capacity.
