Abstract

The problem of slum settlements is categorized as slum, namely, residential buildings do not have regularity, lack of fire protection equipment, are not served by adequate road networks, inadequate waste management. Fifth, drinking water needs are not fulfilled, the quality of drainage is in accordance with the technical requirements, the sewerage is still mixed with drainage. The National Slum Upgrading Program (NSUP) is an embodiment to conform to the principles of community empowerment and to strengthen the role of the government to accelerate the handling of slum settlements in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the creation of slum-free areas in the city of Bandar Lampung, the realization of habitable settlements and housing in the city of Bandar Lampung. The type of research used in this research is descriptive type with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques, observation, interviews, ocumentation. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation of the implementation of the NSUP program in vercoming slum areas in Campang Jaya Village has been implemented quite well. The realization of the handling of the slum area can have a good impact and benefit for the people of Campang Jaya Village.
