Abstract

Birds have economic value benefits, one of which is through the development of birdwatching ecotourism. Ecotourism Bird watching is an alternative tourism development that does not cause many negative impacts, both on the environment and on social conditions. Pasir Sakti mangrove forest has high biodiversity, making it a location for birdwatching ecotourism. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct a study that aims to determine the diversity of bird species for birdwatching ecotourism. The method used for data collection is the point and line transect counting method. The research was conducted from October to November 2019. The results showed that 33 species of birds from 17 families with a total of 7730 individuals with a diversity level (H ') of 2.86 were classified as moderate and participation (J) was 0.81 which entered in stable condition.
