Abstract

Wan Abdur Rahman Forest Park (Tahura WAR) is a nature conservation area for the purpose of collecting natural or artificial plants and or animals, native or non-native species, which are utilized for research, science, education, supporting cultivation, culture, tourism, and recreation. Tahura WAR is located in Lampung Province based on Minister of Forestry Decree No. 408 / kpts-II / 1993 with an area of 22,244 Ha. This study aims to obtain information about the Importance Value Index (INP) of plant species on the Integrated Conservation and Education Forest (HPKT) Tahura WAR Arboretum vegetation; and to find out the structure of vegetation and plant species composition in the HPKT Tahura WAR Arboretum. The research method used was the plot line method, with a plot measuring 20m x 20m used to collect tree species data, a 10m x 10m plot was used to collect pole type data, and a 5m x 5m sample plot was used to collect sapling / seedling data types, with a distance between plots of 100m, which are placed as many as 2 Plot (PU) on each arboretum. There are 12 arboretums in the HPKT Tahura WAR. Data analysis was performed using a vegetation analysis method that calculates frequency, density, dominance, relative frequency, relative density, relative dominance, and Important Value Index (INP). The purpose of this research is to find out the species diversity index, species richness index, and evenness index. The results showed that the composition of tree species in this area consisted of 19 species, with vegetation structures consisting of seedlings, saplings, poles and trees. Based on the analysis conducted, the Tahura WAR Educational Forest area has a Margalef Species Wealth Index (Dmg) of 4.690288, a Shanon-wiener species Diversity Index of 2.720279, and Evenness Index (E) of 0,880052. The highest INP in arboretum 1 is rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) by 184,72%; The highest INP in arboretum 2 is durian (Durio zibethinus) of 352,91%; in arboretum 3 are coffee (Coffea sp.) of 226,7%; in arboretum 4 is rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) of 130,6%; in arboretum 5 aredurian (Durio zibethinus) by 2031,9%; in arboretum6 are durian (Durio zibethinus) by 70,6%; in arboretum 7 are coffee (Coffea sp.) by 470,9%; in arboretum 8 are cempaka (Elmerilla ovalis) of 128,73%; in arboretum 9 are cengkeh (Syzigium aromaticum) of 191,66%; in arboretum 10 is gamal (Gliricidia sepium)of 225,77%; in arboretum 11 are cacao (Theobroma cacao) at 129,66%; and arboretum 12 is rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) at 124,52%. Keywords—Vegetation structure, diversity, vegetation analysis, Tahura WAR.
