Abstract
The Shannon Wienner Diversity Index (Diversity Index) assesses the level of
differences that exist in an ecosystem, the higher the value of diversity index (H '), the more types are
needed in an ecosystem. Related to Dungbeetle, it can determine the environment, because
Dungbeetle's ability to live by utilizing existing faeces increases its complexity according to that in the
ecosystem and Dungbeetle is related to fauna that is in accordance with vegetation needs and also
according to needs. The purpose of this study was to find out the Dungbeetle in the Conservation
Conservation Forest Protection Block of the University of Lampung in the Wan Abdul Rachman
Forest Park. This research method uses the method of fecal trap (dung trap), which is a trap that
contains embers which are implanted with noisy air and prepared plastic cups containing feces on the
surface of embers. This research was conducted in the third week of October 2019 until the third week
of December 2019. The results obtained from 4 types of Dungbeetle were estimated to be Catharsius
molossus, Aphodius marginellus, rhino Oryctes, and Onthpagus 1.35, and in December 1.28 so these
three months diversity is expected to be moderate because 1 <H '= 3, the variety that includes being
removed the quality of the ecosystem does not greatly increase the expectations of the management of
Forest Park Wan Abdul Rachman can be adjusted well and still pay attention to the fauna to remain
