Abstract
Catarsius mollosus is one of the species of Dung Beetle which belongs to the group in the family Scarabaeidae which is famous for his life was Ditinja. Dung Beetle has an ecological function that helps to break down animal dirt so that it is involved in the nutrient cycle and helps spread the seeds of plants. The location of the observation is done at Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman on block utilization, where in this block is used by the community around the way Agroforestri system. Agroforestri is a blend of agricultural crops and forestry plants planted on a land. This research aims to determine the diversity of the type of Catarsius mollosus on the utilization block and know the influence of Agroforestri land that is managed by the community around the forest. Based on the results of the study obtained 27 Induvidu of 3 types of Dung Beetle where 13 induvidu with the type of Catarsius mollosus with H ' = 0.35 which means low type diversity. The management of Agroforestri land carried out by the community around the forest is by clearing the grass covering the crops of the farmers by cutting grass in lower vegetation so that the land becomes open. Dung Beetle generally prefers the covered vegetation so that the diversity of Catarsius mollosus is obtained low. In addition, counseling is necessary to manage the proper Agroforestri land management in order to observe the ecological environment for the sustainability of the forest.
