Abstract

Ecotourism development is strongly influenced by the perceptions of visitors who is visiting tourist attractions. The purpose of the study was to analyze visitors’ perceptions in the development of the Tanjung Harapan tourism site. Data collection was conducted by interview method and analyzed descriptive qualitatively using a Likert Scale. The results showed that visitors' perceptions were 'adequate' for the aspects of beauty, comfort, lodging, and water sources. Other aspects 'sufficient' for promotion, tourism facilities, transportation, footpaths, docks, and networks; but the aspects that are classified as ‘lacking’ are restaurant and electricity facilities. Tanjung Harapan Tourism Managers are expected to be able to improve the quality of facilities and infrastructure so that visitors feel comfortable when traveling, so that ecotourism in these locations is growing.
