Abstract

Respiration and biomass carbon microorganism of soil are biology characteristic that can be used as indicator of soil fertility. The Mound direction and the Organonitrofos fertilizeapplication which are applied to soil will affect soil respiration and biomass carbon microorganism (C-mik). This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of cassava field’s mound direction, organonitrofos fertilized application, and their interaction on soil respiration and biomass carbon icroorganism (C-mik). This research was done during vegetative growth of cassava plant, that was December 2017 until May 2018 at the intergrated field laboratory, Agriculture’s Faculty, University of Lampung, usinga RandomizedCompletely Block Design (RCBD) arranged factorial with two factors. The first factor was Cassava field’s mound direction, namely the direction as the slope (G1) and the direction cut off the slope (G2). The second factor was Organonitrofos fertilize application, namely Organonitrofos 0 t ha-1 (P0) dan Orgononitrofos 20 t ha-1 (P1 ).The data obtained were tested for various homogeneity by the Bartlett test and additivity by the Tukey test. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued with BNT test at 5% level. The relationship between soil temperature, C-organic, N-total, and pH of soil with soil respiration and biomass carbon microorganism (C-mik)were tested by correlation test. The results showed that the mound treatment didn’t significantly affect on soil respiration at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 Days After Planting (DAP), but significantly affected on soil biomaas carbon microorganism(C-mik) at120 DAP.The application of Organonitrofos fertilizer significantly affected thesoil respiration at 150DAP, but it didn’t significantly affect thesoil biomass carbon microorganism (C-mik). There was an interaction between the mound treatment and Organonitrofos fertilize application on soil biomass carbon microorganism (C-mik) at 90DAP, but it didn’t significantly affect soil respiration.
