Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the effect of Argument-Driven Inquiry’s learning model on metacognition awareness and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the subject matter of the respiratory system. The study population was VII grade students of Permata Bunda IT Middle School with 59 people divided into 2 classes that used as samples. The research design used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that there was a significant effect of using ADI model on metacognitive awareness and student cognitive learning outcomes. The significance of the effect of the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on metacognition awareness is 0.001 (p<0.05). The significance of the effect of the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on cognitive learning outcomes is 0,000 (p<0.05).
