Abstract

Abstrak Tutorial terdiri dari dua kemampuan utama yang dibutuhkan yaitu active learning dan critical thinking. Saat ini kualitas tutorial menurun karena kurangnya kemampuan pelajar dalam berdiskusi dan pelajar menyampaikan konten diluar topik yang dibahas. Mahasiswa dengan tingkatan kelas yang lebih tinggi seharusnya memiliki kemampuan active learning dan critical thinking yang lebih dibandingkan dengan tingkatan kelas yang lebih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan active learning dan critical thinking pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini seluruh mahasiswa FK Unila yang dipilih dengan proportionate stratified random sampling. Skor active learning dan critical thinking yang diukur dengan kuesioner Self Assessment Scale on Active Learning and Critical Thinking (SSACT). Pada penelitian ini dilakukan wawancara pada responden secara acak untuk mengetahui faktor yang paling mempengaruhi active learning dan critical thinking. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil uji One Way ANOVA didapatkan p=0,054. Tidak didapatkan perbedaan kemampuan active learning dan critical thinking pada tingkatan akademik mahasiswa tahun pertama, kedua, ketiga dan keempat. Hasil wawancara menunjukan manajemen waktu dan motivasi merupakan fenomena yang paling banyak ditemukan mempengaruhi active learning dan critical thinking mahasiswa. The Differences of Active Learning and Critical Thinking Skills in Students during Tutorial at Medical Faculty of Lampung University Abstract Tutorial consists of two main abilities needed, they are active learning and critical thinking. Today, the quality of the tutorial is decreasing due to the lack of students' ability to discuss and students in deliver content outside the topics discussed. Students with a higher grade level should have more active learning and critical thinking abilities than lower grade levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of active learning and critical thinking in students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung who were selected with a proportionate stratified random sampling. Active learning and critical thinking scores are measured with Self Assessment Scale questionnaire on Active Learning and Critical Thinking (SSACT). In this study, respondents were interviewed randomly to find out the factors that most influenced active learning and critical thinking. Data were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test wi th a confidence level of 95%. The One Way ANOVA test results obtained p = 0.054. There is no difference in the ability of active learning and critical thinking at the academic level of the first, second, third and fourth year students. The interview results show that time management and motivation are the most found phenomena that affect active learning and critical thinking of students.
