Abstract

The Forest of Education and Training of Gadjah Mada University in Blora Regency, Central Java Province and Ngawi Regency, East Java Province, was determined by the Minister of Environment and Forestry Republic of Indonesia Decree No. SK.632 / Menlhk / Setjen / PLA.0 / 8/2016 as Forest Areas with Specific Purposes (KHDTK). The formation of FMU governance into KHDTK made a different contribution and made this research very interesting to do. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the presence of KHDTK on the economy of communities around forests. The location of the study was conducted at KHDTK Getas on 1-20 August 2019. The method used was a structured interview on 10 key people, namely the community around the forest. The results of this study indicate that KHDTK contributes positively to the socio-economic community. Arable land granted to the people using the status of borrow and use. The commodity planted is corn (Zea mays). Collaboration with multi-stakeholders was also carried out by UGM in managing KHDTK. Most of the main income of the community is only used to meet household needs. Needs can be fulfilled because of the role of the head of the family and the woman farmer who until now has become a major factor the family's needs can be met. Keywords: forest community, social, economic, KHDTK, diversity. Abstrak
