This study aims to describe the POGIL model in improving students' critical thinking skills in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic. The population of this research is all students of tensgrade and the sample used in this study was class X IPA 2 as the control class and X IPA 4 as the experimental class obtained through purposive sampling technique. The method used was quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data analysis used independent sample t-test that is to used Mann-Whitney U. The results showed that the average n-gain of the critical thinking skills of the experimental class students was higher than the average n-gain of critical thinking skills of the control class students.
