Abstract

This research discusses the role of DPD National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI) Bandar Lampung City in empowering youth as agents of change in various fields. Using descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews with KNPI administrators and members, and documentation of organizational activities. The results showed that KNPI actively implements entrepreneurship training programs, political education, anti-drug training, and social activities such as gotong-royong which aim to increase the capacity, awareness, and concern of youth for the environment and society. In addition, KNPI acts as a strategic and critical partner of the government, not only providing input in policy making, but also offering solutions to various regional problems. Despite facing various obstacles, KNPI is able to overcome them through discussions and collaboration with various parties. With a diverse membership structure, KNPI is expected to continue to be a forum for youth empowerment that contributes significantly to the development of Bandar Lampung City.
