Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of black cumin (Nigella sativa)in increasing HDL levels and reducing LDL levels in the blood of male ULU chickens. The research was conducted in December 2022-February 2023 at the Integrated Field Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. Analysis of HDL and LDL levels was carried out at Pramitra Biolab Indonesia. Results of analysis of variance showed treatment on feed without the addition of black cumin (P0), as well as with a dose of 36 mg/kg BW/day of black cumin (P1), 72 mg/kg BW/day of black cumin (P2), 144 mg/kg BW/day of black cumin (P3) had no significan effect(P>0,05) on HDL and LDL blood levels of male ULU chickens. Keywords: Black Cumin (Nigella sativa), HDL, LDL, Rocks
