Abstract
The cigarette industry in Indonesia is one of the tobacco product industries which has an important role in Indonesian economics growth. The cigarette industry has a potential contribution to the national revenue through export and import activities. The purpose of this study is to find out the empirical evidence of market reaction on the announcement of cigarette tax regulation, especially excise tax rate regulation released in COVID-19 pandemic period.
