Abstract
East Ambarawa has a large area of agricultural land for rice cultivation. Limited irrigation facilities cause the fields only productive in the rainy season. The use of groundwater is an alternative to water source. For this purpose, a geoelectric survey has been carried out to map of shallow groundwater on three lines in a random position. The measurement uses pole-pole configuration with electrode spacing 5 m and length 200 m. Data processing was performed using res2d. inv, resulting in subsurface imaging to a depth of 65 m. Groundwater is interpreted to be in the sedimentary layer, at depth of 12 – 50 m. Underlying the sedimentary layer is composed of igneous rocks that correlate with intrusive igneous of Kerawang hill
