Abstract

Abstract This research is preliminary study on the application of Model Challenge Based Learning, a method of teaching English while solving a real challenge. As a preliminary study, this study concentrates on improving students’ capability by giving challenges to students. The study implements educational research development paradigm. This preliminary research involved 38 students concentrating on the students’ competence and performance. The results showed that there is a significant influence of Challenge-based learning to the fluency and accuracy students.
