Abstract

Lampung is one of the provinces in Indonesia that owns mangrove forest. One of them is mangrove forest in Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency or better known as Lampung Mangrove Center (LMC). LMC has the potential to become ecotourism. One of the supporting aspects in ecotourism is the description of the tourist areas presented in the form of maps. It makes this research necessary. This study aims to determine the potential of ecotourism that tourists can see and to create a design ecotourism pathway with observation methods and literature studies conducted in April 2017 in mangrove forest, LMC Margasari Village Labuhan Maringgai District Of East Lampung Regency. The results showed that there are two classifications of paths divided into long lanes and short lanes. On the long lane there is one lane is the coastal education path taken for eight hours while on the short lane there are six lines of mangrove education, creative economy, natural scenery, traditional fishing gear, birdwatching track and recreation path to PGN Island with travel time of 1 hour-2.5 hours.
