Abstract

Micro earthquake tomography method has been used for geothermal exploration. Micro earthquake tomography method can be done by analyzing the P-wave arrival time, and by analyzing the phase difference P-wave called receiver functions method. The advantage of receiver function method is easily to map the subsurface structure using three component seismometers. Examples of cases that have been studied to prove the success of this method is the receiver function method can map the subsurface velocity structure of Mount Sindoro. From the results of this study can prove the effectiveness of the method of receiver function, so that the development was undertaken with the data using synthetic micro earthquake.
