Abstract

Pesawaran Regency is the main cocoa producer in Lampung Province, however cocoa farming in Pesawaran Regency is facing the challenge of decreasing production triggered by the old age of the plants. The cocoa plantation rehabilitation program in Pesawaran Regency is one of the key factors in increasing cocoa production. This research aims to analyze the impact of the plantation rehabilitation program using a cocoa farming income approach between before and after participating in the plantation rehabilitation program. This research uses a survey method by taking samples from cocoa farmers who have carried out cocoa plantation rehabilitation using purposive sampling. The approach used is income analysis using RC ratio analysis. Data collection was carried out from September to December 2023. The data used was primary data obtained through interviews with 90 cocoa farmers. The results of the analysis show that cocoa farming in Pesawaran Regency, both before and after participating in plantation rehabilitation, is profitable to run. The plantation rehabilitation program that farmers participate in can increase income and the RC ratio value of cocoa farming in Pesawaran Regency.
