Abstract

Curly lettuce is a vegetable consumed in fresh form. Climate change in particular has a strong effect on plants, namely temperature which ultimately affects plant growth and production. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer application in helping plants adapt to a new environment. The study was conducted on farmers' land in Sukarame, Bandar Lampung (150 m asl) from January 2021 to February 2021. This research was conducted on 2 treatments, namely plants with fertilizer application (P1) and without fertilizer application (P0). Data were taken from all plants in one plot (n=50) and compared plants with fertilizer application (P1) and without fertilizer application (P0). Harvest was done twice with one week difference. Data was tested by Z test, and the data were taken on 10 plants and also each plant. The results showed that NPK fertilizer application had an effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and wet weight of the lettuce, however those are lower compared to similar crops from highland area.
