Abstract
Students are not only required to have abilities and skills but also must have attitudes that will be useful during the learning process and in the future. The learning process must have a significant impact on various aspects including the attitude of responsibility. This study aims to determine the effect of video-assisted discovery learning on the ecosystem of the Wan Abdul Rachman Community Forest Park on cognitive learning outcomes and the responsibility of students of a high school in Pesawaran. The research design used was non-equivalent pretest-posttest. The research samples were 35 students in class X MIPA 3 as the experimental group and 32 students in class X MIPA 1 as the control group using random sampling technique. Data on cognitive learning outcomes were analyzed using the independent sample t-test while students' attitudes of responsibility were analyzed using the One-Way Anova test. The results showed that at a significance level of 0.05, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000<0.05 for cognitive learning outcomes and 0.004<0.05 for responsibility towards Tahura WAR. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence from the application of video-assisted discovery learning of the Tahura WAR ecosystem on cognitive learning outcomes and student responsibility. These findings inform that the surrounding environment has a representative potential in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of achieving learning objectives in the field of biology.
