Abstract

The problem with nutrition services in hospitals that often occurs is the large amount of inpatient food leftovers, that is one of indicators of the success of nutritional services at hospitals. The aim of this research was to find out the comparison of three food menu cycles at Az-Zahra Hospital, Central Lampung. This type of research uses quantitative research methods, cross sectional analytical design. The population used in this study were all inpatients at Az-Zahra Hospital, Central Lampung. The sample used was 156 people. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The independent variable in this study is the food menu cycle, while the dependent variable in this study is food leftovers in the hospital. Data collection uses the comstock form. Univariate data analysis using averages, bivariate analysis using the Anova Test. In cycle 3 it was found that most of food leftovers was in the morning rice (13.97%). In cycle 5 it was found that most of the food leftovers was in lunch rice (7.21%). In cycle 6, it was found that most of the food leftovers in afternoon rice was 5.00%. There is no difference in the food leftovers rice, side dishes and vegetables in the morning, afternoon and evening in cycles 3, 5 and 6. There is a difference in the food leftovers morning rice in cycle 3, cycle 5 and cycle 6.
