Abstract

Entrepreneurs are one of the sources of economic growth. Therefore, as part of the nation, higher educational institutions are responsible for providing students with entrepreneurial intentions. Furthermore, these institutions, especially those focusing on business, must equip their students with entrepreneurial education and financial literacy to realize it. Therefore, this study proves this statement by examining and analyzing the effect of entrepreneurial education and financial literacy on entrepreneurial intention based on undergraduate business students in a private university in Bandung. This study utilizes the purposive sampling method to take the students as the samples and the survey technique to get the responses by allocating the questionnaire with closed-ended questions. As a result, 191 complete responses are obtained. Then, this study uses confirmatory factor and reliability analyses to ensure accurate and reliable answers to the questionnaire items. After fulfilling goodness of fit detection, the structural equation based on covariance is employed to examine the data related to the association between constructs. Overall, this study infers that the more educated the students are with entrepreneurial and financial concepts, the more intent they are to start a business after graduation. Keywords: entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial intention, financial literacy, undergraduate business students
