Abstract
The Cikeas River Basin is located in Bekasi Regency, West Java. This watershed is located in a dense urban area and empties into the waters of the Java Sea, namely the freshwater estuary. The quantity of river water entering this water area has a very large influence on the aquatic ecosystem in freshwater estuaries. It is necessary to know the flow rate of the Cikeas River to get information on how much influence the Cikeas watershed has on the concentration of seawater salinity in the freshwater estuary. This research uses meteorological data from three years and topographic data from the Cikeas watershed. Land use changes were studied based on the latest satellite imagery in 2023. Data analysis was carried out using the daily rainfall method, Kirprich method, Horton method, and assisted by HEC HMS software analysis. Based on the results of this research, it is known that the maximum discharge of the Cikeas watershed is around 4428.2 m3/second with a minimum discharge of around 75 m3/second. Based on the results of this research, information was obtained on large peak discharges from the Cikeas watershed which affects salinity in freshwater estuary waters.
