Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect andlevel of citric acid administration on live weight, carcass weight, and abdominal fat weight of ULU chickens.This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 5 replications with 10 ULU chickens per replication.The treatments given were drinking water without citric acid as a control (P0), drinking water with 0.5% citric acid (P1), drinking water with 1.0% citric acid (P2), and drinking water with 1.5% citric acid (P3).The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variant) at the 5% level and the follow-up test used was the BNT test (smallest significant difference).The results showed that citric acid administration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on abdominal fat weight, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on live weight and carcass weight.The best administration of citric acid is 1.5%.
