Abstract

Irrigation management of Way Ketibung which is not running well has resulted in many rice farming in South Lampung Regency experiencing drought and flooding. Irrigation management is not only the responsibility of the government but also the responsibility of user farmers. One form of contribution of farmers in irrigation management is that farmers are willing to pay for irrigation management services so that irrigation can be used in a sustainable manner. In the application of payment for irrigation management services, it is necessary to know what attributes farmers want to get when making payments. Based on this description, the purpose of this study is to analyze the preferences of paddy rice farmers towards Payment for Irrigation Management Services in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The number of research samples was 100 irrigated rice farmers who were selected using the proportional random sampling method. Data were analyzed using conjoint analysis. The results showed that the attributes that were considered important by farmers when making payments for irrigation management services in the Way Ketibung irrigation area sequentially were increasing rice farming income, water adequacy, large contribution funds, and payment schemes.
