Abstract

Novel Coronavirus Disease or COVID-19 has been a global concern since it was announced as the pandemic. The disease has affected all countries especially their behaviors towards others. That in early time of the pandemic in which many were still unknown has encouraged various reactions among countries. This paper describes Indonesia’s foreign policy in responding to the COVID-19 in early time of the pandemic from January to August 2020. The paper argues that Indonesia preferred cooperation and collaboration believed as the virtues of multilateralism practice despite populist trend shown by more developed world when the disease was crippling a number of countries badly.
