Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to calculate business profits and cost of goods produced of instant ginger and to analyze consumer satisfaction with instant ginger products. The research was conducted using a case study method in the instant ginger agroindustry at KWT Harapan Jaya, Rajabasa District, Bandar Lampung City. The location was purposively selected. Respondents were 3 managers of the agroindustry who are also members of KWT Harapan Jaya and 30 instant ginger consumers. Data collection was conducted in June-July 2022 through interviews and observations. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively, and also with customer satisfaction index (CSI) and important performance analysis (IPA). The results showed that the profit of instant ginger agroindustry per April 2022 was Rp899,476.08. The cost of goods production obtained by the variable costing method and the full costing method are below the selling price, so the agroindustry is still profitable with the current selling price, because the selling price is above the cost of goods production. Consumers are satisfied with instant ginger products. The attributes of instant ginger that are the main priorities flavor, aroma, quantity, and ease of obtaining.
