Abstract

The shallow layer of soil in Bandar Lampung is composed of sedimentary material and young volcanic products. The characteristics of the sedimentary material can produce large vibrations and other effects, which can pose a hazard to buildings and infrastructure. Analysis of rock site class and resistance response to earthquake disturbance in the study area was carried out through the interpretation of shear wave velocity (Vs and VS30), amplification, and natural frequency based on SPT measurement values of 7 points in two rock formations. From the research results, it is known that the research area has a low-scale earthquake damage risk and has soil types from medium to hard soil and soft rock in the form of class D and C sites. The Rajabasa area has a hard soil layer at a depth of 2 m, Garuntang at a deeper depth from 6 m, Mount Sulah at a depth of more than 2 m. Meanwhile, Teluk Betung and Teluk Betung Selatan, the hard soil layers are relatively deep at 12 m and 18 m.
