Abstract

Spatifilum (Spathiphyllum wallisii) is an ornamental plant that is able to attract public interest because it has white flowers, glossy green leaves, and its ability to remove indoor air toxins. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to produce spatiphylum plants that have a more attractive appearance with continuous flowering through the application of N, P, K and paklobutrazole fertilizers. This study aims to determine the ratio of fertilizers N, P, K and the effect of giving paklobutrazole on the flowering of spatiphylum plants. This research was conducted at the Horticulture Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung from September 2020 to February 2021. This study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors (3 x 2) with 3 replications. The first factor is the provision of fertilizer ratios of N, P, K and the second factor is the administration of paklobutrazole. The data were analyzed by F test and then if it was significant, it was continued with the Least Significant Difference (BNT) at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the treatment with N, P, K fertilizer increased the greenness of the leaves and the treatment with paklobutrazole narrowed the leaf area. The application of N, P, K (1:1:2) fertilizers showed a tendency for faster flower buds to appear, more flowers, and longer flower resistance compared to N, P, K (1:2:1) fertilizers and without fertilizers. fertilizer. The administration of 400 mg/l of paklobutrazole resulted in smaller leaf size, faster flower bud emergence time, higher number of flowers, shorter flower stalk length, and longer flower resistance compared to without paclobutrazole. The results in this study there was no interaction between the two treatments.
