Abstract

Since the Covid - 19 epidemic, the education system as a whole has had to adapt to the new way of teaching and learning. Many people, including educators and students, need to take advantage of the new technical tools available to them to fit into a new learning culture. There are two types of learning that place a high value on face - to - face interactions: online and offline. When students and teachers are not in the same area, they have to rely on the internet to do online learning. The level of teac her proficiency in online learning is studied in the context of the Covid - 19 outbreak, as well as how distance learning is applied at SMPN 16 Pesawaran. When data is given in the form of words and sentences, it is considered a qualitative method. At SMPN 1 6 Pesawaran, the distance learning policy has been successfully implemented in accordance with directives from the central government and the Pesawaran city government. Pre - defined techniques are used to implement distance education online. Regional deploy ment of distance learning cannot be optimized due to lack of suitable facilities and infrastructure in recent years
