Abstract

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the technological innovations that facilitates the process of collecting information in the form of digital construction design data in a threedimensional (3D) model. One of the software that supports the BIM concept is Autodesk Revit software. The purpose of this study was to model Gedung 6 Rumah Sakit Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (RSPTN) University of Lampung using the BIM concept and to obtain data and information on the volume of the building. The research step begins with building modeling, which is running Autodesk Revit software, creating grids and levels, creating family structures, modeling structures, modeling structural reinforcement, creating architectural families, and modeling architecture. After completing the 3D modeling process, the next step is to remove the volume of the building. From the results and discussion, it can be concluded that modeling Gedung 6 RSPTN University of Lampung using the Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept is more effective and efficient because all information from structural elements and architectural elements is stored in one digital file in a three- dimensional (3D) model. The final model created has all the information about architectural elements, structural elements, and volume information automatically generated using the built-in tools of the Autodesk Revit software.
