Dendrobium striaenopsis orchid is a typical Maluku orchid that has a beautiful flower color and is often used as a souvenir, causing an increase in production demand for these orchids. In vitro culture techniques are used as a quick and efficient way to produce orchids, but it is not uncommon for environmental factors to affect orchid production, one of which is salinity. The use of varieties that are tolerant to salt salt with NaCl as a selection agent is one of the effective ways to overcome salt salt checkers. This study aims to determine the range of NaCl concentrations that are tolerant to NaCl as well as determine the level of resistance in the planlet orchid Dendrobium striaenopsis to salt salt absorption (NaCl) in vitro. This research was conducted in January-February 2022 at the In Vitro Culture Room, Botanical Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Lampung. Orchids are planted in the Vacin and Went planting medium and then given a NaCl concentration treatment of 0%; 0.25%; 0.50%; 0.75%; and 1% with each concentration of 5 repetitions. Quantitative data from each parameter was analyzed using the Levene test, One Way ANOVA, and Tukey Test at a real level of 5%. The results showed that the range of 0.25% NaCl concentration tolerated by the Dendrobium striaenopsis orchid planlet in vitro was in the range of 0.0-0.25 which was categorized as a mild check, the concentration of NaCl 0.50% was in the range of 0.25-0.5 categorized as moderate, while the concentration of NaCl 0.75% to 1% was in the range of 0.5-1.0 which was categorized as a heavy check and the resistance level of the Dendrobium striaenopsis orchid planlet was moderate resistance.
