Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the effect and best urea dose of giving ammoniated corn cobs on the feed consumption and body weight gain Brahman Cross. This research has been done on October to December 2021 in KPT Maju Sejahtera, Wawasan Village, Tanjung Sari District, South Lampung Regency. The design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) which consisted of 3 treatments and 3 grups. The treatment provided was P0: 80% basal feed + 20% unammoniated corn cobs (0% urea), P1: 80% basal feed + 20% ammoniated corn cobs (2,5% urea), and P2: 80% basal feed + 20% ammoniated corn cobs (5% urea). Variables measured were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed convertion ratio, and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results showed that feed consumption P0:7,38±1,26 kg; P1:7,32±1,47 kg; P2:7,26±2,10 kg, body weight gain P0:0,85±0,16 kg; P1:0,97±0,13 kg; P2:0,90±0,23 kg, and feed convertion ratio P0:8,79±1,62; P1:7,56±1,22; P2:8,04±0,35 had no significant effect between treatments (P0, P1, and P2), while income over feed cost (IOFC) P0:Rp28.635; P1:Rp34.054; P2:Rp30.620 had effect on the treatments.
