Abstract

Every citizen has the right to get a job and a decent living as described in the 1945 Constitution Article 27 paragraph 2, so the state has an obligation to make it happen. But country have limitations so that they have not been able to create jobs for all his people. So the need for the job creation in the environment community, one of which can be through the tourism sector. Community Based Tourism (CBT) is a concept that makes the community aas actors major in tourism activites. This research aims to obtain overview of Community Based Tourism management in Market Yosomulyo Pelangi (Payungi) Metro City. The method used is qualitative, with inductive logic. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the CBT concept to economic principles in the form of vreating jobs in the tourism sectoe and the generation of community income; social principles, gender justice (men and women) and across generations (young and old); cultural principles, society respecting different cultures in tourism activities; principle environment, there is an environmentally friendly waste disposal system; principlle politics, there is participation from the local community, but the Tourism Awareness Group Yosomulyo Village has not participated in the activity tourism in Payungi.
