Abstract

This community service activity is a form of gender-responsive school management training to support the implementation of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's independent learning program. The number of participants involved in this activity is planned to be 40 participants, who are elements of the Senior High School community of Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. The methods used in this training are lectures and questions and answers, simulations, group work, and discussions & presentations. In particular, this service activity has led to several goal attainments, including the cognitive aspect. There has been an increase in participants' understanding of the gender concept and its scope. In this aspect, the participants also understand better the gender issues in the educational environment (schools). They have been able to identify gender gaps in schools and teaching materials that are less gender-responsive. Based on the practical aspect, it can be seen that there are concrete efforts to apply gender-responsive education unit management at the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Metro, namely providing equal opportunities for male and female students to obtain various facilities provided by the school.
