Abstract
This study focuses on the protection and management of mangrove forests in urban areas. The picture of the mangrove forest ecosystem that is still under threat, is prone to change its function, whether it is conversion to ponds, gardens including residential areas, even though several protection policies have been established and the implementation of policies is carried out by cross-sectoral agencies
